​I'm Hugh Finlay, a self-taught stained glass artist.

While a painter and decorator, one of my customers, Mary,

introduced me to the joys of stained glass.

I've had many hobbies over the years, including fly-fishing, fly-tying,
micro-electronics, computer building, metal detecting, photography and
latterly narrow boating. But stained glass has always been my ‘go to’.
Since retiring I have created the wee glass room, my studio, where I continue to enhance my skills.

I was born in Lanarkshire and met Deb in Camden. We now live in
Sutton Coldfield with our 3 rescue cats Lucille and her sons Red and Gus.
